We collect the minimum needed to run a trustworthy marketplace: account details, order records, and the security signals that keep fraud out.
Data we collect
Account data: name, email, country, and (for sellers) business registration and licensing evidence.
Order data: what you bought, from whom, order status and delivery records. Payment details are handled by our payment providers; we store only a token and the last four digits where the provider supplies them.
Security data: sign-in events, IP address, device fingerprint and audit entries for administrative actions.
Why we use it
To fulfil orders, resolve disputes, verify sellers, detect fraud and suspicious logins, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data and do not use order contents for advertising.
Sharing
Sellers receive only what they need to deliver an order — never your full contact record unless a service requires it and you agree.
We share data with payment providers, hosting providers and, where legally required, competent authorities.
Retention and your rights
Order and audit records are kept for as long as accounting and anti-fraud obligations require; other account data is deleted on request.
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data through support. Verification of identity is required before we act.
Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring they hold the legal right to sell every product and service they list on JOHNCODETECH.
