Buyer Protection Policy
Every order is covered from payment until delivery is confirmed, or the dispute window closes.
Escrow by default
Your payment is held by the platform, not the seller. Funds release when you confirm delivery, or automatically after the protection window if no dispute is open.
Instant digital products release faster because delivery is verifiable; service orders hold longer.
Protection window
Instant licences and downloads: 7 days from delivery. Services: 14 days from the stated completion date. Monthly retainers: the current cycle.
Opening a dispute
Open the dispute from the order. The seller has 48 hours to respond inside the order workspace, where the full history is already recorded.
If the parties cannot agree, support reviews the evidence and decides. Decisions are logged and can be appealed once with new evidence.
What is not covered
Purchases arranged or paid outside the platform.
Refusal to supply information the seller needs to deliver, after repeated requests.
Buyer-side breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy.
Sellers are solely responsible for ensuring they hold the legal right to sell every product and service they list on JOHNCODETECH.
